Wait time from Dahlal -- when do I get to get angry?
Hello all,
I ordered my first custom costume ever from Dahlal last April. It's an Oriental Originals and they said 12-16 weeks, pretty standard. It was due to ship to me Aug 24.
I started calling to check on it before that date, and with every call I get the same response: "We hope to get it in the next two weeks." Now it's a month overdue and counting, and they're annoyed by my biweekly calls to check on it.
Is this usual? I haven't gotten so much as an apology for the delay. I realize custom costumes take a long time, but if you suggest a finish date even if you don't promise it, and then you go way over that date, wouldn't you at least say you're sorry, even if (ESPECIALLY if) you can't do anything else?
I didn't put this on the complaint forum because maybe this is how it is and it happens all the time. It's not like I can do much about it; I'm not interested in losing the 25% I put down. I'm just frustrated because I have always been very focused on customer service and when I'm blowing $600+ on something I expect whoever I'm giving money to to be as well!
All I can say is, it better look damn good on me when it gets here. :-P
