The online program gives you a place to track your points. It's nice because you can type in what you ate (often with brand names) and very often it's right in the database with point values. You can also find recipes and restaurant point values in just a few clicks. It's like having a whole collection of weight watchers point finder books and cookbooks at your fingertips, plus an automatic point calculator.

And of course you track your weight & goals, and you can chart your progress.

The online tools can be used alone (there are message boards instead of meetings and articles to fill you in on the WW tips, tricks, motivational tactics, portion control ideas, etc) or you can get the tools in addition to your meeting membership. (for an extra fee, of course).

I really liked it. But now I'm using fitday plus dietfacts and it's very similar but free.
