I liked this quite a bit, actually. It's a "Show Dance" - something that a couple will do as a purely artistic expression within ballroom that incorporates not only various ballroom patterns (in this case, samba, rhumba, cha-cha) but other dance forms as well. Lots of times a couple who is retiring will do a show dance, or a couple who is celebrating so many years of dancing together, or they are invited to do one as a particular honor by that particular competition.
Sorry to hijack, but it seemed there was some confusion as to what was going on with this piece and as a former ballroom person, I just wanted to clarify.
