Well as this is a JimBoz thread, I'll sing his praises first.
He was totally & without any doubt, the Star of the Saturday Night show ("East meets West", so it was mainly the American & European teachers taking part, the Egyptians were all in the Sunday night show). He had the crowd eating from the palm of his hand, from the moment he walked onto the stage. He came out to the audience and entertained us. He is such a fabulous dancer, very strong, precise hipwork, softness and fluidity, shimmies and glute-work that was more than adequate replacement for the missing Suhaila
. He may not have been the headliner, but he was certainly the star of the evening.
Then on the Sunday morning, I went to his workshop (which was packed... 92 people) and he was such a great teacher- informative, helpful, responsive, fun. You couldn't ask for better.
