i can't answer the static question since i'm in hawaii but if you have charmeuse go for it..charmeuse is such incredible silk, because it's heavier and has that gorgeous shine to it. it's worth the extra price! And don't you dye silk too? Dyeing charmeuse is wonderful.

I've made 6 mm habotai skirts in the past that were ok if layered over other skirts. 10 mm works better due to the weight. Habotai is a nice affordable silk for skirts..is still pretty and moves like silk.
