I wear Russian Red as standard and have done since, oooh, must have been 1992 or 3? Whenever it was launched in the UK. I used to wear a Shiseido red (Scarlet Moon) but they discontinued it; once I'd used every one I ever managed to buy up, I had a disconsolate couple of years in the UK using various reds that didn't really do it for me, till MAC was launched in London and Russian Red, in particular, was getting promoted because Madonna wore it for her Blonde Ambition tour. It's superb and I adore it, though I do sometimes wear MAC Red on stage (a friend gave me some) because it is a little brighter.
