Synthetic wigs are really easy to care for. The trick is to use your fingers to remove any tangles as soon as you get it off and never brush or comb it when dry. Also don't comb or brush when wet. I use a spray on wig conditioner that reducing tangling and helps keep the wig in good shape. I mix some in a spray bottle of water and lightly mist over the hair when combing. I recently washed one of my 3/4 falls and put the hair in large rollers to see how it would turn out. It did dry faster and smoother. I just used my fingers to separate the hair for the rollers. Worked really well so I will do it again. On the curly ones I wash the wig, roll lightly in a towel, and then gently shake out the excess moisture and air dry on a wig stand. When dry I mist lightly with conditioner and use my fingers to work out an tangles.
The only way I think you could get that much hair under the wig cap would be to pin our own hair in curls around your head and use a wig cap over that. You might want to look into getting a wig with extra large cap so that it will go over all your own natural hair.
Good luck and let us know how this works out.
