Veighouda, I've been dying silk for almost 10 yrs, though only recently to sell. I use 6mm silk because its what I like. Not the lightest weight but it moves best IMO. I don't have any Akai veils so I can't compare the the silk. But my veils, especially after handling, are very buttery and move well. Several bhuzzers have been happy with the veils I have made them.
