Oh, they DO archive it on the BDUC website so yes, the Farnoosh/Jillina showdown was in 1996, and then Jillina must have appeared in Common Threads in Spring of '97? I just remember she did kind of an I Dream of Jeannie hip hop fusion thing that was really cute, and was already bringing down the house.
You won in '98 Sabrina? I guess that was one of the two years I've missed since about 1993 when I started going to BDUC. I was pregnant in '98 and feeling very unwieldy. I think the only other year I've missed was 2006, when my dad was ill, and ended up dying at about 5 pm that evening. Other than that, I've attended them all - I love to see dancers pull out all the stops in contests - it's a great way to see a lot of good dancing, and as we see in this thread, to possibly see stars in the making!
