You know, I've been thinking about this for a long while now, and I swear I'm going to do it the next time I sell a costume bra:
1. Line costume bra cup with cling film, waxed paper, or aluminum foil.
2. Pour in dried (note:
dried!) beans to fill cup. I'm thinking small white or black beans or French lentils for the most precise measurement.
3. Pour legumes from bra cup into measuring cup, record volume, include in ad.
4. Buyer does same with own well-fitting bra to determine whether it's a match.
Voila! An accurate, reproducible, even metric-convertible volume measurement. Circumvents variations in cup-size definitions across manufacturers, bra styles, and international borders. Doesn't tell you a thing about cup
shape, of course, but pictures help with that.
So what do you think, ladies? Wanna start a boobie revolution?
