Just wanted to "weigh in" because I am so excited that I have lost almost 35 lbs. since last May!!!

But I'm not "dieting." I am on a healthy Food Plan, one day at a time, insha'Allah. I am so much happier and healthier that I rarely even notice I'm not eating junk. And when I see junk, I tell myself, "That's not my food. Other people can eat that food, but that's not MY food." What a relief not to be "dieting," to eat abundant, delicious meals, and to be losing weight. I'm thrilled.

How I do it: No sugar, flour, or wheat, no processed or high-fat foods and I attend a support group. For me changing my food has become a spiritual awakening. I never want to go back to where I came from with food!

The holidays will be a challenge, I'm sure, but I refuse to participate in my unhealthy behaviors around food any longer. Having support from like minded people really helps.
