Lauren, you're right, it's a mind set. For me I can only get to the mind set when I abstain from the unhealthy (for me) foods. Other people can eat a little or a moderate amount of sugar, etc., but I can't. Eating any at all changes my head space in a not-so-good way.
I don't really envy other people, I'm just so relieved that I've found what works for me. Diets never worked for long and I always ended up gaining back all that I had lost, plus some more.
