Two questions about polls

are you really allowed only four answers? lordy, why even bother? unless you ask a question so narrowly that only a few options are left, the answers are almost meaningless.
for example, look at the poll on props. are we to read that as, "of these four, which is your favorite?" or is it "What is your absolute favorite prop?" you're SOL if you want to know the latter.

can you really not view a poll unless you've voted on it? what's up with that?
there have been many polls that i've not voted on because it wasn't relevant to me, but i was interested in seeing the results. for example, i would never vote on "who's your favorite Turkish dancer?" because i don't know them well enough to have a favorite. but i want to see the results so i can learn who i should look up. but if i want to see it now, i have to eenie-meenie-mynie-moe.
you can't rely on poll results because how many people like me clicked at random, just to get in?
