Mobile web version of Bhuz?

Just wondering if there are any plans to have a mobile web version of Bhuz?

tribe.net has a read only version in beta and I use via my Nokia 6120 phone. It would be nice if I could access bhuz from the phone as well.

Bhuz is not fun to look at on my BlackBerry. I can do it, but it's hard. Which is good because then I have to stay away some of the time!

I have a Motorola Q and can view Bhuz just fine. There is allot of scrolling but scroll wheel on side makes it easy enough.

Try looking at this to see what I mean

bellydancebiz.tribe.net/m

Any tribe you are with, just put an 'm' after it and you will get the phone optimised page.

I'm happy to look in to it. This is something I don't know anything about. Can anyone give me info about whether it requires new software, or where to go to get info on how to make the site compatible with phones, etc etc.

Excellent.

It's too bad tribe is down at the moment, but this is Google's mobile interface

http://www.google.com.au/m

I think all it is would be a second "template" where the page is restricted to a certain width and you only have to scroll down and up, not across. Other than that the backend is the same.

I'll see if I can dig up anything on it. It's new to me as well.

This might be a better example

This is a link to the normal youtube website

http://youtube.com

This is a link to youtube mobile

http://m.youtube.com/?warned=yes

It's like a second homepage that is formatted to look nice on a phone and not too graphic intensive.

I spoke to someone at work. There is also code in the regular homepage to detect if the browser is a computer or mobile phone. If it is a mobile phone the user gets redirected to the mobile page.

I'll keep digging up stuff that might be helpful.

This might be relevant. It's the Australian yellowpages and you should be able to see the ad in the page

This is an article I came across which is quite technical and dated 2005

http://www.cameronmoll.com/archives/000428.html

This is an agency that claims to know how to build mobile sites.
