Singing the praises of Amir!
Got to see him perform live down in Orlando, FL, in the end of January at the Babylon Breeze workshop weekend.
Wow! I was moved to tears

, his stage presence was so incredible!! I haven't found any clips that do his stage presence justice, but his technical expertise and charisma and energy certainly come through.

I also had the chance to take a variety of workshops with him... hagala, debke, classical egyptian choreographies/combos. He's a great instructor too!

Soooo very fun and inspiring!

Orlando in Jan was a blast and we all needed a defibrillator after his performance! Incredible!! and he's so sweet too!
I would love to see he and Jim Boz on stage together. Can you imagine? :0)

We've booked him for the IBDC in Las Vegas this summer, I can't wait, I've never seen him live!!

I've taken two workshops with him, and I can honestly say the second one, when I was a more advanced dancer who could better understand what I was learning, has had a major impact on me as a dancer. I'm still processing everything I learned in those two days last August!

I also agree that seeing the video footage is nothing like seeing him live--there's a lot of subtlety that gets lost on camera. Plus, he's just so vibrant and alive!

I KNOW!! And woh is me! I'm trying to forget.

You all would have to go and organize this event the week of my wedding!

I've tried to change the wedding date. Tried to convince my fiance that we should atleast do a pre-honeymoon to Vegas... Have the wedding in Vegas... it's a no-go

Amir is amazing!!!! i got to take workshops and see his show live when i was in Brazil. I pretty much was just in awe during the workshop. I was trying to dance but i just wanted to watch him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm excited to see him when he comes to Vegas as well. He's in Buenos Aries, correct? I think I saw his studio last August while I was in Argentina...my group had to tear me away...I was like "No! I want to stay! Bellydancing!"

Sadly, no. We weren't able to take any time away from our packed schedule...although to be honest, I would have much rather taken a belly dance lesson than shop. (We were walking to the mall when I saw the studio) but alas, we had to stay together.

I love Amir. I took two workshops with him at Canada Conference and is just amazing. Can't wait til Vegas Conference.

well if any of u is in argentina next year and want to go to amir or saida's school, email me, because i live close to both schools and i go to both too. This yr I am in england :(
