The white jeans clip is amazing...I just love how he takes his time--as if he has all the time in the world to do moves--he's so gooey. I love him--he has that lazy-sexy thing down, with just the right touch of energy when he needs it.

I want to dance like that.

his workshop last year was fabulous! and he taught us exactly the choreography which he performs here in white jeans....

Thanks Maria! Are you going again? What I'm really curious about is how difficult are they? I'm sure he's wonderful to be around, he exudes so much joy on video...and no doubt full of good material.... Just wondering if I'll be humiliated and way behind everyone, since I'm sorta slow these days. :)

well I just watched the clip in white. Wow, what a beautiful choreography! It would have been worth the humiliation just to snatch up a few tidbits of that!

well, yeah it was a little challenging experience:) but if you took workshops with any other egyptian dancers - I found all of them a little challenging in the way they teach things... but I enjoyed his teaching more than Raqia. He will show you the combination and say: "you do this, then this and then this. now turn, then this two times." (he will not say do two hip drops then shimmy 8 counts then figure eight:)) so you kind of has to guess sometimes what this movement was exactly because it's not always obvious. But there were plenty of repetition.... I'm definitely going again in september. He is one of my super-favorite dancers and men at the moment

I believe this is the same oriental choreo he taught at the 2007 IBDC as well. If it's not, it's very similar.

I agree with this completely. I did my first workshops with dancers from "over there" at the IBDC and it was very different than the ones I've taken from American instructors. That said, I loved both of Tito's workshops (orientale and shaabi). His warmup was just following along to him dancing to some random song, then he started in with teaching the choreo, which was just as maria_s described. It was a little challenging to not have things broken down verbally, but I got used to it pretty quickly and really enjoyed the "looseness" of it. Tito somehow managed to be warm, fun and encouraging, even though he really didn't talk that much at all!
