R We going to have a fan forum subdivided by styles again - anyways, Egyptian Video

Maybe I have not figured my way out through this new site. But I love the new look. I am wondering if we are going to have a forum subdivided by styles? If so, CAN WE PLEASE TAKE A POLL OR GIVE SUGGESTIONS ON HOW WE WOULD LIKE IT SUBDIVIDED BY.

Okay, now for the Egyptian Video. New upload by one of the channels I subscribe to on youtube. But first the very short clip of the 5 year old I previously posted. This is from the golden era of Egyptian Film.

Gypsy8522 uploaded the entire dance clip from this Egyptian movie, the above clip is at the end. Actually it may be longer, since it stops at 9:59 minutes and supposedly you can not upload more that 10 minutes without a director account.

Anyways, I find it interesting due to several reasons.

1) They were able to show much more skin than they could at present time and probably more skin than in American at that time era. Yes, I know the Egyptian society has taken a big step backwards. But it is interesting to see what they took a big step backwards from.

2) They performed other dance styles, none belly dance related - i.e. Latin, Ballet, and Tap.

3) This little 5 year old (as reported by the poster of this video) was the featured dancer of all of these styles.

Anyways, hope you enjoy and feel free to comment on any of the above mentioned points.

Re. the fan forum, I think we will keep it with just one section for now, and if it grows fast we can split it up then.

Our Groups page has a "Fan Clubs" section for members to create fan clubs for particular dancers.

Rosey: I like new web site, too. I really enjoyed the fan forum as it was set up (American cabaret, Egyptian style, etc...) I can't find those forums here. It looks like they are not here. I couldn't find the "Groups" page either. I am still trying to find my way around the new web site!

Groups is in the lower navigation bar on the Home side of the site -- doubleclick the big Home button to get there.

The fan forum wasn't used as much as other parts of the site, and members expressed occassional disatisfaction with the breakdown of the categories.
Why don't you start a poll asking if members want the divisions back, and if they do, then another poll figuring out the divisions -the fewer the better-?

I would like to say that I like the fan forum being lumped into one place (until it gets too big!!). In browsing before, I never went anywhere but where my particular interests were. Perhaps we can all learn a little more this way? Maybe something will catch your eye that you wouldn't have seen before? Just an opinion...
