Yasmina Ramzy! (you should have seen this one coming)

Ok. Since I just spent an AMAZING weekend in workshops with Yasmina, I have to know...who else loves her as much as I do?

She is phenomenal! Her teaching style, her personality, her performances, her choreography...

I'm trying to save my money to go to the dance camp next summer. :)

I just watched "Descent of Ishtar" last night...what an interesting show that was! I really liked the theatrics of it. Her company is great...if it were possible, I'd totally move to Canada for a year and study with her. :)

She came to teach in Hong Kong few years ago. I needed a bucket to collect my drool!!!! I have seen her live show, wow she is so fantastic!!! Great person too.

Not just her summer dance camp, but I REALLY want to take her two week long Pro-Course, as well. That one's a couple years off (have to save money) but...I REALLY want to do it.

Even though - the first time I saw her I was blown away! She has me hooked.

I HIGHLY recommend the Pro-course! I absolutely loved it!

I would love to be able to take 1 year and study up in Toronto with her. I can't even imagine how much my dancing would improve.

Of course, i'd have to find a rich husband first, because #1, I can't afford to pay for that kind of intensive study and #2, I would have to quit my job to do that!

I know, I feel the same way about wanting to study with teachers from all over the world...

I've been studying with Yasmina for almost 3 years now. Most of my beginning studies "with her" were through the Arabesque studios (I studied with her senior teachers) and then when I became more advanced I started to take classes/workshops with her and I became a dancer in her company - which has probably been the best training! :)

I've never had the opportunity to study with her, but Yasmin, that video you, Shira and I watched that one night sent me on a search for that performance DVD, and instructional DVD's, she is such a dynamic dancer, maybe we should sponsor her in Las Vegas some day, you think???

Suleiman seemed very enthusiastic about coming to Vegas when I mentioned it a coule weeks ago...I have a press kit from Yasmina, so....maybe I'll bring it with to Marrakech for you to look at? :)

Can I make a request for consideration??? Will someone look into bringing a Russian dancer here? I know it's probably problematic but either Nour or Natalia Strelchenko or is it Maria Shoskova (name could be wrong)....We've not had the Russian dancers in the states for workshops and it would be so nice to have a "fresh" new thing.

While we're making requests...Isidora Bushkovski is one of my new favorite dancers...ever since seeing "Temptation of Belly Dance..." she's fanTAStic!

I think Yasmina Ramzy is one of the most underated dancers/teachers around. Her performance videos are by far the best! She's also a wonderful workshop teacher. Oh, and I've been hearing a lot of great things about the big workshop she just had in Toronto.

She is one of my idols when it comes to Oriental Dance companies.

I agree, I think I own ALL of her performance videos...I may be missing one or two... ;)
