Delilah is friends with my dance teacher, Laurel Grey. She is quite a personality and incredibly athletic. Apparently her abs are so conditioned that when she had her baby the labor only took 30 minutes.

Yeah I can't believe you didn't start it sooner.

Not that I'm a big Delilah fan.... Only drove 600 miles round trip to see a ten minute performance...

She has been one of my favorite dancers since I was about 10 years old, she truly dances from the heart!

I had her whole video collection until She is a dancer who is very connected and intuned to her Spirit/ Soul mind and body. She dances with such feeling! She just lets her body go and her Spirit takes over, and she's just beautiful!

i made an egyptian costume for my instructor for that parade, and went to go watch (it is always a kick to see the solstice parade here!) and i saw delilah finally, but did not get to see her actually dance. hopefully, someday, since i keep hearing about how amazing she is!

Delilah raqs!

I've seen videos, but seeing her dance live this week at the IBDC was amazing.

Can we give some props to her awesome band House of Tarab too? DANG they are amazing.

Her daughter, Laura Rose, is a great dancer as well..its in the blood, I think. :)

My company is hosting delilah in workshops and show Saturday September 8th.
The deadline for workshop discounts is September 1st.

Delilah is bringing out members of House of Tarab for the show and the drummer will be working with her in the workshops.

If you live close to Colorado or will be in the area, Delilah will be here.

come visit us here in Boulder. It is absolutely gorgeous this time of year.
I just posted some pics of my dog this morning in Boulder creek. On the "we Love Dogs" group open to the public.
It's so gorgeous the weather now, and in SEptember.....
best time of year, (unless you like to ski, then it's january!)

I wish I could...that weekend is actually the weekend of the Bellydance Intensive here in Vegas...but I'm sure you will all have a great time and learn a LOT! :)

Perhaps I will save up some money and come out there in the future for a workshop though! I love to travel for workshops and shows! :)

Believe me, if I had the money I would fly myself to Seattle to study with her. I had her workshop vol 3 dvd in earlier today, and I have to just say that even with all of the bellydance dvd's that are out now, her's are still my favoirte.

Speaking of her DVD's, her newest one, "Dance Combinations wiith Delilah," is wonderful.

i went to emerald sanctuary retreat this weekend, and i saw delilah perform for the first time...she was awesome! i think my mouth was hanging open the whole time! the whole weekend was wonderful!

Thanks for posting some of her you tubes - she really is something else. I have all her videos and have seen her in person many many wonderful times. The last time she was out here giving a workshop I didn't leave her alone until I had scheduled a private lesson with her. I am so happy I did, to this day that was one of the best private lessons I've ever had - she is one beautiful and strong dancer.

another delilah fan here. :) we're so lucky to have her in our dance community. I've known about her forever (I started bellydance 20 years ago), and never really *got* what she was about for, oh, the first ten years. :) I tried taking a class series with her, and it was just so wierd and not what I was expecting or into that I dropped out halfway through. I guess my dancing and my intellect weren't mature enough for her yet! but now, I just like to hang out in the same room with her. she's really got something that everybody who dances can benefit from. I don't even know where to start to explain. it's like, she dances deeply. and lives dance as an all encompasing experience. and she's all about empowering you and every other dancer to do the same.

and she is FEARLESS. I LOVE dancing in shows with her. if I can swing it I always like to dance after she does (not always possible as she's such a megastar, but she's also so cool and down to earth and *real* and is never a diva) because after watching her, it sets me free and inspires me to dance as hard as I can!

I love the tarabbies, too. :) they're fantastic musicians, and just really cool people all around. they really respect the dancers as co-entertainers, which is really nice in this business.

to those up for a road trip, they're going to have a live cd recording show/concert in february. delilah, laura rose & dahlia (current bdou) are performing. it's going to be a fantastic night! and you could have your applause recorded on the album. :)
