I love Fifi but I hate fact that she's doing it in the bedroom. Isn't that every male fantasy? A belly dancer wiggling her hips in the bedroom? Unfortunately, that's how a lot of men (not all I hope!) look at it.

Apparently, the bedroom scene with the bellydancer is the arab equivalent of a western sex scene (I've been told) They can't be as bold as Hollywood is for obvious reasons. So the arabic idea of a daring sex scene is the man watching the woman dance, and you can almost see him drooling. Then, when she's done dancing the cameraman usually gets a shot of the bed and the scene fades out... the rest is left to the imagination. It's a typical sex scene in many, many arabic movies.

Yep. And I also hear plenty of Arab men saying that their wives dance for them. So, while it is an art form- they don't necessarily separate it from it's sensual side.

Have you noticed how Adewiya gets a little too much in the dancers' personal space in these videos? I was watching some old footage the other day of him singing while Soheir danced, and it was kinda fun to see Soheir's evasive technique.

Did anyone else see on some of the Adaweya clips that people from egypt were saying he used to be a real "ladies" man if you know what I mean. He was than later casterated b/c of his "ways". Not sure if it's true or not just what was said on some of the clips I've seen about him.

There are many stories about this -- I've heard them for decades. He was definitely quite a womanizer (to put it politely) and the stories indicated that he got too friendly with the wrong woman (most common stories indicated a Saudi princess) whose family took revenge on him. I'm not sure anyone knows the facts, but the stories are certainly persistent and widespread!

I heard that the song Bnt aSul6an was inspired by that princess and ultimately caused the demise of his weenie. But then again, I would love to know what actually happened...or would I? Ouch!

I another clip of him and Fifi (not the one above) about 10-15 years ago and he is looking all old now and not skinny as a rail anymore. I would hate to think of someone having their manhood taken away. Although sometimes I do secretly wish my husband didn't have his anymore. But not all the time!!!
