I have DVD's of two movies that she starred in, but she didn't dance in either one. (She was never a professional dancer, her profession was that of actress.)

One of the movies I've seen her in is
Beauty and the Scoundrel - she costars in this one with Hussein Fahmy, who was her husband at the time this movie was made (1976). Mervat Amin doesn't dance in it, but it does have a dance scene featuring Soheir Zaki - that same dance scene is included on the DVD
The Legends of Belly Dance. Fahmy was the male lead in another movie that a lot of dancers enjoy -
Khally Balak Men Zouzou.
The other movie I've seen her in was
My Father Is on a Tree, in which she costars with Abdel Halim Hafez. This is the movie which features the song Gana el Hawa. In this one, Mervat Amin dances as part of an ensemble doing choreography in the style of Reda Troupe (the choreographer for it was Hamada Hossam, who was one of the original 7 men of Reda Troupe), but she never does Oriental style. This movie was the second most popular movie ever released in Egypt, lingering on theater screens for over 30 weeks. (The only one more popular was
Khally Balak Men Zouzou which stayed in theaters for over 50 weeks.) It is said that the reason this movie was so popular was because it was rumored to contain over 100 kisses, so young men would go to see it over and over to count the kisses.
Mervat Amin has such pretty eyes, doesn't she?
