Well as this is a JimBoz thread, I'll sing his praises first.
He was totally & without any doubt, the Star of the Saturday Night show ("East meets West", so it was mainly the American & European teachers taking part, the Egyptians were all in the Sunday night show). He had the crowd eating from the palm of his hand, from the moment he walked onto the stage. He came out to the audience and entertained us. He is such a fabulous dancer, very strong, precise hipwork, softness and fluidity, shimmies and glute-work that was more than adequate replacement for the missing Suhaila . He may not have been the headliner, but he was certainly the star of the evening.
Then on the Sunday morning, I went to his workshop (which was packed... 92 people) and he was such a great teacher- informative, helpful, responsive, fun. You couldn't ask for better.
Yes I am a great big fangirl!

Jim Boz is such a fabulous entertainer. He really connects with the audience and with his students in a teaching situation. I was was at one of his intensive workshops the weekend before and he sounded truly excited about going to the UK to teach and dance.
But let me tell you something interesting. At the intensive workshop, Jim showed up a combo from Dr. Mo Geddawi. When I got home there was a new Dr. Mo workshop video waiting for me. When I watched it, I caught a glimpse of Jim Boz, as a student, in the back of the room working along without any diva fanfare. He went up several notches in my esteem after seeing that.

Well, UK, Jim has already informed me that he plans on sofa surfing at my place in London when I get it. So prepare yourselves. . .
Oh, and yes, Jim works very hard at what he does. I have stood in back of a workshop with him on many occassions.I crawled away befoe he did!
Glad it went well!

Jim is one of our favorites at Wiggles of the West (Nevada), where he is teaching a workshop in 2008. I'm so glad he did well at the Congress. He does really work at his art and is never above taking classes just like anyone else. I love the idea that he is a STAR and just a regular guy all at the same time.

Add me to the list - I thought he completely stole the show on Saturday at Congress. He had the audience eating out of his hand.
And he was so kind and giving of his time to me after the competition - even though I invited him for a drink and my purse so he had to pay!!
