I'm really surprised that I don't hear more about her or see her on more dvds. Her dancing is Egyptian and earthy. I would really like see her on more vids.

She's on a few IAMEDs I believe. She does have a very earthy style. Vids don't do her any justice tho. She's one of those types that you gotta see live.

Roxxanne is ooey-gooey awesome. The perfect example of less-is-more, and it's so obvious that the music just flows right through her. A joy to watch!

She is Lebanese, but from my experience she usually does more Egyptian style stuff. (At least that's what I've seen) She also knows her folkloric stuff pretty well. She studied with Sahra Saeeda and is still a member of Ya Amar.

That is so true! You have to see her in person to really appreciate her. I love her dancing!

You are right I am Lebanese (and half Brazilian!) and I do dance Lebanese Style Oriental as well as Dabke but Egyptian style just calls to me and I tend to dance it naturally. Wierd huh!

Look for Roxxane at her best in the Friday night show from Little Egypt's Fifi Abdo workshop. She even had Fifi in the palm of her hand! Lovely. And an awesome person in general.

yeah, I realize she's on some DVDs but I just wonder why she's not on MORE and why dont hear MORE about her. not to sound greedy or anything. I think she's like the queen of the natural & Egy Taxim, I really see something soo fifi in her torso area and the way she moves and carries herself during taxim especially...

Roxxanne is awesome. great dancer, great person. extremely knowledgeable, intelligent, and fall-down funny.

totally agree!!! and can't agree with you more t-alexandria!
I,also wondered why there isn't ENOUGH of Roxxanne on DVDs?!

and there should be more of her and deserves all the credits as well.
Her style of dance has that old school cairo flavor and feel to it and is very soulful on her egyptian taqsims,she keeps it real with the assaya,and drumsolo is smokin'.Her dancing is not to be missed either and i simply love and appreciate her style! and like nasila said is totally right "A perfect example of less is more" now that is important in egyptian dance etc;

Live at the Fifi show was the one and only time I've seen Roxxanne, and she really moved me. Love at first sight.

Roxanne is a sweet person and an amazing dancer. There is so much feeling on her dance, and to me this dance is all about feeling!!
