I *heart* Astryd.

I'd heard plenty o'good things about her, but had never seen her dance, and hadn't taken any classes with her till this weekend.

She kicked my booty! I'm still sore!!! ;)

Seriously though, I loved her teaching style, she broke everything down so nicely, and the choreography that she taught us was amazing. She is SO intune with the music!

Her performance was just breathtaking. She made everything look so easy...and completely effortless.


did I mention, too, that she is just the SWEETEST person in the world?

Astryd raks!! :)

(oh...and I almost bought one of her costumes! If she hasn't sold it before she goes back to Cairo, it's MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!)

She's coming to Seattle to teach a cane workshop this Sunday!!! Then she is teaching a series of small group classes at my house. I am so excited, I can hardly stand it. I shimmy just thinking about it!

Her performance at our Las Vega Holiday Hafla on Dec. 1st was really breathtaking. And we were so happy that she let us use her picture for our commemorative buttons!! Whoo whoo...now I have an Astryd button!!!

Ooh, if its the same cane workshop she taught here, you are going to LOVE it! Sassy, Spunky and Saidi!!! :) Its really cute.
