Ava Fleming
Recently, Isis, who is from Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, brought Ava Fleming here for a two-day workshop. She is a wonderful teacher and gave us many wonderful moves that I know I will be incorporating into my dance at some point. She was fun and made sure everyone had a front row opportunity during class. I would definitely take another workshop in which Ava Fleming is participating. And, thanks to Isis for bringing her to Sarnia. Last year, Aziza was here and the year before that was Cassandra. Keep up the good work, Isis!!!!!

I agree. she gave me a lot of material to work on (and hard work!) and is also one of those very sharing teachers, that tries to answer every question! next to Aziza one of my favourite instructors now!

Big Ava fan here! In addition to being an amazing dancer and teacher, she is also a wonderful person. I sponsored her to New England two years ago and try to catch class with her whenever I'm in Phoenix visiting my sister. She's become so popular, she's harder to catch on my visits, but she still squeezed in some tme to meet me for tea and chat on my list trip. I'm thrilled she's getting the recognition she deserves, but I'm a little jealous -- I want her all to myself!!

Yes, Ava is wonderful. I was so lucky to take classes with her in Phoenix. I learned alot from here. She is so kind and caring. I love meeting famous dancers that are everyday people in their heart.

Yes, Ava will be coming to the Chicago area -- specifically the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Lombard, IL -- on November 10 and 11, with a show on Saturday evening. I'll be posting more details about the workshop content as soon as I get them from Ava. To quote Ava, "I actualy have a workshop geared towards that [choreo technique] - it is called paint by numbers. take it apart and put it all back together. only I twist things around just a little bit and make participants do a little more work than usual :)" Sounds intriguing, and I'll post more details the specifics of the weekend in the next month or so. We're also hoping to have a welcome hafla on Friday night before the workshop.
We love Ava, too! I'm very happy she will be coming here for another awesome workshop weekend. And she said she's looking forward to hanging with the "Chicago" gals again.

She is a fabulous dancer, quite fun and a sweetheart. Having a private lesson with her was one of my most challenging dance moments and one of my most rewarding. I really appreciated her encouraging me with continuing to find my own style and dance my own way. I love a teacher who does not try to mold the student into a mini-Me type of dancer.

Another Ava fan here!!! She's great. I haven't been lucky enough to take any lessons with her but she always performs at my first dance teacher's yearly show in Riverside, CA. My jaw just drops every time I see her dance. A lot of people don't understand her style when they see her in videos. She's one of those people you have to see in person...very subtle dancer yet somehow very strong. LOVE HER!!!!

I attended her class at JOY, and she WAS an absolute JOY! Breaks everything down, didn't look horrified at folk who weren't sure of the basics, just explained. I think we were wowed into silence during class! As soon as I have a slot in my schedule here, (if she can come) I'm going to get her over (might be 2009!). She is FAB, FAB, FAB! Also, I loved her dancing, she is one of those 'generous' dancers, who 'gives' during a performance - makes it energising and a pleasure to watch. She is one of those effortlessly beautiful people, who is a NORMAL person.
