I just have to rave about Gia's combo deck.
Handcrafted with obvious love and great attention to detail I received a deck from my secret habibi this year - Gia!
I use it ALL the time in class. My students get so excited when they each get to pick a card and actually work out how to put the moves together. Plus the addition of an Emotion in Motion card really makes it a challenge on a deeper level and keeps them from staring at their feet! If you are a beginning teacher looking for inspiration or a teacher who teaches all the time and needs to mix it up this is for you!
This is the link and I recommend everyone gets one for their dance buddies or classes. Create a Combo Belly Dance Game Practice Deck
psssssst! It really takes the pressure off when you can't think of anything to do in class! I know we've all been there
I bought one some time back and really liked it, as did my students. I now have a similar but customized combo deck I made myself, using old postcards, because Gia's deck was a little limited for what I wanted to do.
Yes I was thinking of adding more cards on my own also. For my more advanced students. Right now I am just trying to help my advanced beginners connect the dots and this is really helping.

I have done the same thing, but buying the original set was instrumental in helping me wrap my head around how to make my own cards. I usually do combo-cards for the last class of the session, and if for some reason I do something else my students are sad!

Yup, Gia's were great for inspiration. Students do love this concept, don't they?
I am just DELIGHTED to have found this thread and also so pleased to know that you're all enjoying and using the decks as well as using them as a 'leaping off' point to add to and create your own extended-play version of my Deck! Great ideas ladies!!
Thank you all so much for your support of my Deck and your kind words...for the gal who didn't trust PayPal...you are welcome to order using a personal check or money order! Feel free to email me directly (via the link someone kindly posted above!)
You've all made my day...shokran!

Thank you SO much! You know...I've gotten so many requests for a Vol.II that I think I have to consider it!!!
Can you give me some feedback about the kinds of things you'd like included in a more advanced level deck? PLEASE remember that I have a VERY limited amount of space on the back of each card...so doing very layered movements (more than 2-3) will take a lot more room on a card!
Oh now you've got me stoked!
