I love them both, but they are very different from one another, so it depends on what you are going for. They both are shiny under lights but the red definitely has much more of a bling effect. But I LOVE the dip in the hip on the black velvet. Didn't help much did I???

Yes, they can be hemmed, there is some basic beading going down the length of both. Each costume ships via a flat rate box $8.95. The only extra charge is for expedited shipping and/or optional insurance (based on your zip code $6.40)

I couldn't wait... it's not even adjusted yet and the straps are held together with pins in the photo... I'm not wearing makeup and my 11yr old son took the pictures, but who else would understand my excitement except you guys?!

I'll need to shorten the skirt, adjust the bra straps, and I want to tack the skirt to the shorts on the side (the shorts are beige with a lilac peice on the sides... the beige shows when I spin), but that can all easily be done in an evening.

This is my first Eman and I love, love, love the way it fits. Thank you, Shaunte!
