Pink Joharah Dress - $140
Pink Joharah dress, exact measurements better pics are coming. For reference I am 5'8", 34Dd and 38 hips. Lots of stone work on this one. Description of the red one pictured was taken from kboutique.com is almost identical to this pink one for sale, listed for $415 and sold for $380. Description reads..."Made in Egypt. This costume is bound to turn heads. The shirring underneath the bra gives it a classic touch, hearkening back to Samia Gamal's costumes from the 1940s. The bra is also covered with crystals surrounded by rhinestones. TEN 7/16" true glass crystals, plus many smaller acrylic crystals.
A large mesh inset over right upper back and midriff trails down over the right hip and across the legs to stop at hemline near the left ankle. Beadwork on the mesh area keeps it from being too revealing. The skirt features a unique mesh gore at the center back, giving the dress a light train-like effect which is very elegant.
There is a lot of beadwork on this costume. Primary beads include gold glass twisted bugle beads (these are very reflective and shiny) and red and gold glass seed beads. Primary sequins used are standard red, clear irridescent reds and ambers. The front hip area features three groupings of high quality, crisp and clear irridescent acrylic gems that are 3/16" by 3/8" and a deep rose in color, surrounded by rhinestones. The hip area also has 3"-long pieces of custom fringe using glass seed beads, glass square cut bugle beads, round acrylic beads, and faceted irridescent acrylic teardrops.
The bra closes halter style behind the neck and around the back with two embellished straps. The dress itself dips down to a low back, closing with a zipper.
DRESS FOR SALE IS PINK - pictures of red costume are for reference and clarity until better pics of actual dress are taken and posted. Main difference between red pics and actual pink dress is this:
* The pink Joharah for sale here has almost no beading on the pink mesh along the legs, though the red does.
*The pink dress for sale here has some bead work on the mesh gore in the back, but the red does not.
Note: There is a small pin size hole somewhere along the size of the zipper. Occasionally, the zipper will get caught up in this while zipping yourself up. Does not affect the function of the zipper, but you might want to put a stitch or two to close it. If you can find it - it's tiny.
