Me personally, I would remove the little flaps on the straps....but that's just my taste!!!!!!

LOL........I have a feeling that it would definately fit!!!!! I am about a size 10/12 booty; I tried on the costume again, and there is a lot of room for stretch in the skirt. Actually the reason why I love this style costume is because, if you look at the pics there is that extra layer over the bum=more coverage!!!!
