This has sold.

I am selling a silver three-tier shamadan.
$125 includes US shipping, insurance, and delivery confirmation (see below for details).

This is the style sold by Scheherezade Imports.

Never used.
I wish I could keep this, but it has just never fit my head quite right. :( I'll stick with my brass one, and I need to quit hoping and get this to someone who will use it!

One note re: shipping: It will be sent taken apart, and wrapped well, so you will need to put it together when you receive it (very easy, and you would want to do that anyway to make sure all the parts are nice and tight).

Hi Miriam,

The widest setting is 23". It can be adjusted to go down to about 20" (there are holes to do so easily), but it would be harder to go larger.

Edited to add some pictures of the base, that might help.

There is currently no lining (I use a thin moleskin on my other one, and have also hot glue gunned in thick fabric in the past).

So I just measured and I'm at exactly 23...do you think it would be doable based on the measurements? Were you taking them from the inside of the base or the outside?

I've been looking for one forever, so I really really hope this works!

I measured on the inside (just double checked again) and it is exactly 23" around. I also just measured my head, and it is *just* shy of 23", and I feel like this shemadan is very slightly too small for me. :( I think with any padding it would be too tight for you.

The only way I see it working is if you have a way to solder metal. There is an overlap of 1" that it could be extended easily. It would be very straightforward for someone with the skills and equipment to do. The metal is pretty malleable, so could be shaped to fit your actual head.

Do you know if it's lead or tin?

My sweetie took a look at it and said he could extend it really easily if it were either of these two metals. From the luster on the inner part of the band he thinks it's lead, but needs you to verify if you can. He got very happy at the idea of playing with burning metal (he studied engineering)... silly boy. :-p

I've gone back and forth about this and I think I'm going to have to pass... I'd be heartbroken if it didn't work, so I'm going to wait for a larger one to pop up or just buy one in person next time I'm near a store.
