All sold, thank you.
I bought these as potential troupe costumes at Rakkasah East several years ago, but they've just been sitting in the closet. They need to be out dancing!
The fabric in these dresses is stunning! (Does anyone know where to get it by the yard??) It's got a feel like a lighter-weight version of old assuit -- wonderful drape. It's quite sheer and is decorated with metallic swirls and little squares that are kind of rubbery. The dresses are beautifully made, with finished seams, so one of these dresses could be pulled on over a bedlah for a folkloric dance during a show.
Here's a close-up of the silvery fabric:
The dresses have the usual theatrical openings under the arms for ease of movement, and slits up each side. I have two dresses in a silvery pewter with gold accents and two in dark burgundy with antique silver decoration. I'm asking $55 for each dress (plus postage) or would sell all 4 for $200.
Silvery dress #1. This dress has a high round neckline. Bust will fit up to 44", Hips can go up to 46". This dress is 62" long. Because of the drape of the fabric, it would also fit a much smaller dancer. It can be bloused with a hip scarf to fit shorter dancers.
SOLD
Silvery dress 2 has a V-neck and straight sleeves. Bust will fit up to 48", hips up to 50". It's 63" long from shoulder to hem. The sleeves are quite long on this dress; they measure 28" but are actually longer because of the dropped shoulder on the dress.
SOLD
Stay tuned for the burgundy dresses...
