DIDEM Costume (Red) - SOLD.

Hi Ladies

I had a costume custom made for me in Turkey. The costume is gorgeous but is a tiny, tiny bit too short. Also, it was added to my 'too hard basket' as I wanted to take off one of the shoulder sleeves, add chiffon to the rather risque split and adjust the bra straps. This of course will never happen so I am selling it - BRAND NEW!!! The beading is unique and gorgeous, and would look fabulous on stage.

Measurements are:

Length of Skirt: 36 inches at the split (comes up/flares up at the split), 39-40 inches at the back.
Upper hip Max: 35-36 inches max (there is no zip, it is stretchy sort of band)
Under bust: 29 inches (approx)
Cup: B/C cup
Colour: Red silky feeling lycra
Sleeves and straps could be easily adjusted by a dressmaker or by those of you with more patience than I have.

First in, best (and most uniquely) dressed :) This costume appears to be based on a Bella Costume, but it is not a Bella.

Didem is the best. Unfortunately, I think you need a body like hers to get away with that costume... But it is very tempting.

I tought Bella was her designer.
Bella has many pictures of Didem in her costumes in her shop, she told me that she only designs for Turkish dancers on TV if they only buy from her ...maybe this one was done before Didem started to have her costumes done at bella's ?

you mean when she moves her skirt...idk, i guess not to flash the audience? lol

but why get down like that and do that move anyway? it's so akward especially if you have to move the skirt first. I usually like her dancing but that was a bit much. it reminds me of women who wear something really short or tight and then tug at it all night.

yah thats true. wasn't that improv that she was doing? maybe that was just a spur of the moment inspiration I guess lol

The thread dont say that this belongs to Didem, is Didem style costume.

I specified Bella was the original designer of the costume, because someone asked who Didem costume designer was. the original post said the costume was made by Didem's designer, I see the original post has now been edited.
I wasnt arguing if Didem had worn the costume or not.

I originally listed this as made by Didem's designer as that is what the person who custom made it for me in Turkey said. It was then pointed out to me by a fellow Bhuzzer that this costume is now on Bella's webpage, though those photos of Didem is a few years old.

I manage to have someone contact the woman who made this for me in Turkey who still says it is her design.

Anyway, I think the most I can say is that it is a Didem style costume - a copy of a Bella costume, but definitely NOT a Bella.

Hope that clarfies things?

It is on hold at the moment, but I will let you know if that situation changes.
