SOLD - Red and Gold Saidi/Baladi Dress - Plus Size Petite

Brand new and never worn. Custom made for me in Egypt but is too tight around the mid-section. LOL, I even sent a prototype dress that fit me loosely in that area and they still didn't get the size right. AND the leg slits are too high for me so I need to wear something underneath (I dont like to show that much leg) or sew it together down to the knee (don't have the time)

Nice shiny red with gold flecks and gold sequin/bead/paillette trim around neck/hem/sleeves/etc. Comes with a hip sash to match.

Basic measurements:
Across the shoulders: 19-20"
Sleeve from shoulder: 20"
Length from neck (Middle of back): 56-57"
Chest: 48"
Hips: 50"
Hip Sash: 48" without the section that ties (about 8-10" more each side).
Slits up the side from floor are 24".

it is all one piece . . . for the most part, the ties don't have any decorations except at the end. . hmmmmm, I am thinking about this part . . . how to modify but i must run to an appointment now.

I'm going to step out of line. I'm feeling guilty because I have another costume I bought on Bhuz some time ago that just needs simple alterations. I should fix that and wear it instead of buying something else. But this is a lovely dress and I'm sure would love great on Caro or Eshta!

I consider it recycling . . . with benefits!! I have a few too many things that I have been collecting and they are just going to waste.

I don't think that I will ever convince myself to sell the antique bedouin jewellry that I bought . . . I think it is worth more than most people want to pay these days anyway.

We have a huge collection of Bedouin jewelry. I'm addicted to it. And over there it's being melted down and is disappearing, which is sad...

And what is worse . . . they melt down the really good stuff, then the market here is flooded with cheap knockoffs that don't look anything near as nice as the old stuff (even if it is a bit beat up from being worn by people for many many years).
