Hanan - Black Empress Costume GORGEOUS

This is some of THE most gorgeous fabric I have ever seen. This costume is made a little skimpy, but I personally think it looks better when you add some chiffon to make it conservative. Take a look:






Can you see the gorgeous print on the black fabric? I love it!


I just stuck a chiffon veil underneath and I like the way that looks. It's easy to sew it down. Asking $425 skimpy style, or $435 with the turquiose inserts. I can just include extra turquiose chiffon fabric for you to customize it your own way, or ask me to sew it down for you. Here are the measurements:

Bra cup: 6 1/2" top to bottom, 7" widest point
Bra: up to 36B. Too small for a C cup.
Top of Skirt: up to 34"
Arm Bands: 11" widest point (should fit above the elbow)
Length of Skirt: 42", easily adjustable.'
Headband also included.

ARe you sure you it won't fit a C with those measurements?....Are the cups measured on the inside? If so, I may make it work...I will check other measurements I may have intent to buy! Thanks

I've seen a costume like this before--this style is soooo pretty! As for the chiffon or no chiffon, I think it depends on the dancer. If it were my costume then I'd wear the chiffon--I feel a little too full in the legs for all that flesh to be exposed. But on a super-trim dancer, I think it would look hot without the chiffon.

Yea, I agree. A conservative dancer will feel more comfy with some chiffon or something to provide a little more coverage. A skinny mini will look nice in it as it is.

The fabric is a stretch lycra. If you look closely at the picture of the back of the costume (above) you will see the print that looks like the style of an oriental empress. I don't know how they make that print but it's not velvet as it may appear in the picture. It's just a fabric print. Does that help?

Why did I write easily adjustable? It's not that easy because there are beads at the bottom. I think I meant for me because I sew and I've done it before with a beaded edge. Anyway, if you are interested, I can alter it for you if you request it.

I am referring to yours! I can't wear such skimpy things myself but I like it without the chiffon. You could add ruched mesh panels with slits.

Yea a small C cup will fit. It will give u a little cleavage, that's all. Just make sure the strap around the back fits.
