Looking for Voi or Veil Poi

Hi all,

Just getting started so am looking for an affordable set of poi to tie veils around. Ideally nothing glow in the dark or crazy... just basic and simple.

Also, for anyone who does voi, do you use solid colored veils or do you use veils of gradient color? I'm wondering what people think look best... tie dye, solids, horizontal color gradient, vertical color gradient...?

Any and all advice appreciated!

I just made my voi using 2 loofas ($2) and 2 dog leashes (small ones) which cost me $6 for both. Attached the veil and done.

took one out of lenaregina's book and made mine for $3!!!!!!!!!! time to practice... ouch.

How do you attach the veils to the loofahs?

you tie them above and under. at least that's how I did it. On another note: what weight veils do people prefer (5 or 6 mm)? and semi-circular or rectangular?

Funds are tight so I need to make sure I buy the right kind... I'm thinking of getting a flame set but worried about weight, size, shape... any advice would be greatly appreciated!
