SOLD. One wowser of a silk sari, intense fuschia woven over a pale gold (pale gold color, not metallic) thread that gives it a subtle golden shimmer. Metallic gold borders. Patterned in dark aqua/light teal, light yellow and pink. 45-1/2” wide, 6-1/-2 yds long. 39” length of paisley border pattern at one end, corresponding 39” without pattern (other then the gold borders) at the other end. I just can't wear this color myself. <sigh> $25 plus shipping.

STILL AVAILABLE. Lavender shimmer organza, 43” wide, 3 yds +16”. $10 plus shipping.

STILL AVAILABLE. Pastel blue lace covered with iridescent glimmer dots that shimmer pink-purple-blue-green. 4" width of fabric along each selvedge without the dots. 44” wide. 2 yards. $7 plus shipping.

GONE. Deep raspberry pink and metallic gold lace with scalloped edge on both selvedges. 39” wide, 2-1/2 yards. This would make the most spectacular overskirt. I’ve clung to this piece for years, but alas another color I can't wear. <sigh> $10 plus shipping.

I love your sari! Did you ever wear it the traditional way, or did you intend it for fabric? Kinda interested...

I bought the sari second hand for the fabric (though I doubt it had ever been worn). Have stored it for 2-3 years; now have realized that I just will never use it because I'm a fair-skinned redhead and gorgeous though it is, it's just not a color I can wear.
I don't know if we've met -? My "real" name is Kristin Rose. I started as a student of Alia Thabit's; still keeping up contact with her and dance with her whenever there's a chance. Also took several classes with Gina Capossela and appeared in a couple of her shows in Woodstock. More recently was a co-producer, with the dancer Irit, of the two "Night at the Enchanted Palace" shows at Middle Earth in Bradford - a fabulous place to dance, which is now going to close down, so the Enchanted Palace is going to have to rise up an fly to another location, as yet undetermined. I'm mother of the dancer Rose (Murphy), who has more talent in her baby toe than I have in my whole body - and friend of well-known Bhuzzards Surida and Amity. So - have we met?

Middle Earth is closing? Why? Oh that is so sad!!

Yes, ME is closing and it's a big cultural loss for our area. Don't know why, but most likely it has something to do with money, as in not enough. It was such a cool place to dance; I'm getting all sad thinking about it. But the Enchanted Palace will rise again, somewhere, I hope.

I think we need some sort of Bhuz pins for local gatherings (well, not like I make it to workshops too often) so I can finally find out who I've "met" on here and on the outside hehe.
Rosette - I'm still ruminating on the sari- I think it's so gorgeous, but I'm trying to justify the expense in my silly brain. I'll get back to you on it!
