Actually, the dress is made of streching lycra and I am sure it can fit more than 38" in the bump area. Actually, I think it is better so it don't fall on the back and you don't have to make changes on the dress.

I think it could fit until 42 "

it appears heavily beaded at the bottom, and I'm a shorty...can you measure the length from between the bra cups down to the hem please?

To answer your question, there is aproximatively 45" from between the bra cups and the hem

wow, that's like 5" shorter than my other two dresses. I guess it's actually too short for once! thanks for measuring, but I guess I'll have to pass.

Honestly I would be surprise that it's too short for you. I am 5'8" tall.

I mesured the lenght of the dress from down the cup bra to the hem, maybe you were expecting me to mesure the length from the top of the bra to the hem.

Anyway, if you are interested I could make one of my "shorter" friend try it to know exactly about the lenght.

Well, I am 5'3" on a good day but I also have a 41" bum that will fill out more of the costume and make the length shrink up more. Both of my well-fitting dresses measure about 50 inches from center of the bra to the hem when they are laying flat. Do you have a short friend with a plump rump?

I made test and I think it could fit you, but could also be a bit too long. Hard to tell. Depends if you are willing to give a try and make some arrangements on it. But honestly, I think you could make something out of it.
