Well, enough hits were to be had on my earlier post to help my teacher decide to let me put one of her costumes up for sale here. It's a beautiful, classic costume from Egypt in black, peacock, gold, silver and white beads. It's highlighted with luminous one inch pear shaped borealis crystals and bright one inch ovals. The top would fit a 34 to 35 A or B cup and it has the sauciest split sleeves, from elbow to wrist. The hem is finished beautifully with peacock seed bead whipstitching. I love that this bolero has full upper back coverage while remaining very provocative.
The skirt is equally embellished, with clusters of fringe, the same amazing crystals, cutouts, and clusters of fringe that accentuate the dance so well. It would fit a dancer with 33 to 36 inch hips. The bottom portion of the skirt is sheer georgette, the hem embellished with the same treatment as the sleeves. There is a one and a half section on the hem that does need some repair, but it is minor. The price of this costume is $375, without shipping.
I'm disappointed that this costume won't fit me but I *wuvs* my teacher so I'm doing this favor for her as she is a business owner outside of teaching and performing and just doesn't have the time to do this. Oh yeah, she's getting ready to go to Rakkasah on top of all that!
