Aug 7-11 visiting Toronto- whats up?

I am hoping to go to dance shows and classes while I am there- I want to meet bellydancers up there!!!!

Where is good to go? I have been searching like crazy to find some hot spots to see a dancer perform-

And the only thing I have heard about is taste of the danforth on sat. And suggestions for Sunday night- which I will not be there for.

Is that all there is in Toronto?

Hey Sarah,

My name is Melissa, I'm an instructor and dancer at Arabesque Academy and Dance Co. Its too bad you won't be around on Sunday, you're missing the best night LOL!! :( But you can always check out the arabic nightclubs that have solo dancers on saturday nights (sometimes fridays). Some places you might try are:

Arabic Nightclubs:
Aladdin's Palace (live band and dancer at 12:30am, Sat)
Ambrosia (live band and dancer -not sure time, but late in the night, Sat)

Other Restaurants:
Red Violin Brazilian Steakhouse (dancer to CD, and sometimes a drummer, I think around 10:30 Fri and Sat nights)
Sultan's Tent (Dancers to CD Thurs, Fri, Sat night I think, not too late in the evening, food isn't the greatest tho...)
Chirstina's (greek restaurant, Dancer Fri and Sat I think, CD)

hmmm, I know there are more but can't think of them off the top of my head. I'll try to find a link that used to list all the places to see a dancer...

That is a big list- I am told that the addresses are spread out. Do you have "favs" on this list- or are they the ones you listed above?
