Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive...meet us there!
We are so excited to announce the 5th Annual Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive on September 7th, 8th, and 9th. We sure hope you visit our website to learn more about the schedule, packages, etc.
We are especially excited to announce the participation of Suhaila Salimpour all day on Friday, Sept. 7th.

This is a "community produced" event, organized by dancers for dancers. This event takes place in September. I hope to see you there.

It's not the same event, but I have been a part of the Intensive every year. We have a great community of local dancers and teachers, I really enjoy being a part of this event, our workshops and shows are a blast, so if you can make it, it will be well worth your time, and Samira does a great job of hosting the event!

The Bellydance Intensive actually developed out of a conversation between Aradia and I about 6 years ago. Wow! How time flies! And yes, Aradia has been an outstanding member of our teaching staff every year since its inception. It's great to see her branching out and being involved with other bellydance events. There's room in Vegas for everyone!
The Intensive began as an event to showcase our local community...which is what I mean when I say "Community Produced". However, every year this event grows by leaps and bounds. And as we've grown, we've also included more and more non-local instructors. Currently, we have 36 teachers and our production staff has grown to a team of 8 Directors. It's been a delight to work with such a fabulous group of talented and creative people.

Don't worry honey... there will be plenty of opportunities for you to volunteer and earn discounts. Our volunteer director will be posting stuff on the local yahoogroup soon.

PS Don't forget...you are more than welcome to sell your costume at the local Hafla as well. Our Infamous April Fool's Hafla is on the 28th...

Oh yes, I will SO be there! My troupe (Amira's troupe actually) is planning to perform...it will be fun!
I may bring it with, if I don't get anything from the swap meets page. :)

Oh yes...sorry. I'm sure we can figure out something to raise some $$ for the VA Tech dancer. Perhaps we can ask for donations or do some sort of silent auction. I'd be happy to accomodate.
I'm excited about having Rakkisaad (sp?) performing at the Hafla. This one is always one of my favorites events of the year. You should consider the Improv Contest.
Talk to me about the Intensive there...I'll be happy to help you find a way to attend.

Amaya, of Shake & Bake fame, will be joining us for the 2008 event. We are excited to have her as one of our featured instructors for next year. This should give everyone plenty of fair warning to be sure!!!
This year, of course, we are so happy to have Suhaila Salimpour. She's now a Las Vegas local and so we are thrilled to have her involved. We are also excited to have Zahirah of Salt Lake City, Stacha from the Bay Area, Julianna Lichius of Albuquerque, Khadijah of Canada, Amara (of X-Med fame), and soon-to-be-local Habib.
Looking forward to meeting some of the Bhuzzers at the event...
