Hello, from Puyallup, Washington

I guess I should officially introduce myself. I've been hanging in the swap meet for several weeks now. Boy, that is addicting!! I have just cut myself off.

I have been dancing for almost 5 years now. And enjoy it tremendously. I expecially enjoy veil work and spinning! I am a displaced Pittsburgher and Steeler fan though I don't see many games in the Pacific Northwest. I have 4 lovely daughters who follow me everywhere and probably know more about middle eastern dance than I do. I am so proud and excited to have found such a wonderful, supportive community!!

Welcome from another Washingtonian (Fall City) I am new to dancing and to this site. Also addicted to the swap meet! Where do you go in the Seattle area (besides Pharoh's Treasures i can never find anything there) to shop for dancewear eg. skirts, beaded belts etc?

I am having a blast with bellydancing. So good for your core.

I get most of my items at festivals, haflas, souks that are happening in the area. Medfest is coming up in July, there will be loads of vendors there. (Moodance, Fatima's Bazaar, Peko records, L Rose and tons others). Saqra has a boutique in Kent, Hasani has a boutique in Gig Harbor. She also vends at her hafla's which are held in Tacoma so you wouldn't have to go over the Narrows. Ottoman Trading Company in Bothell (I think). There are more out there I have not uncovered yet. Keep networking!!

I too am having a blast!! This is the first hobby I have not given up on!

Yes. It is Saqra - belly dance classes, supplies, calendar & tips in greater Seattle (Kent, WA) and Portland, OR.
