Ooo, scary! I've changed my name!
When I joined Bhuz, many years and many Bhuz incarnations ago (in 2003) I tried to register as Charlotte, and then as Charlotte UK but I couldn't do either, so although I wasn't particularly fussed about being incognito I decided to try an alias name. I went for Sunshine as I try to be fairly sunny (although I do give in to storm clouds sometimes!) but also because in Croydon, where I teach, Sunshine is a term of endearment typically said before bopping someone on the head - as in Oi you! Sunshine! What you looking at???
and that made me laugh 'cos I love sarf London lingo
I've enjoyed being Sunshine but in the intervening years I've gone from being a part time teacher to being very full time with a rapidly growing bellydance school, promoting a lot of events and international teachers and a desire to teach more workshops myself.
In the meantime, Bhuz too has grown and become an incredibly important player on the world bellydance stage. It occurred to me that I wasn't doing my career profile any good by not using my real name on an important forum such as this.
So I thought I ought to come out of the closet (or peek out from behind the fluffy clouds) drop the Sunshine alias and use my real name.
So bye bye Sunshine. I've loved being you but it's time to grow up!
