It's time

Well it is time I introduced myself. I have been going onto buzz off and on for about a year. My name is Frieda, nickname Faraona, and I live in Tulsa Oklahoma right now, but hail originally from Belgium.
I started dancing about ten years ago, but in FLamenco and have drifted to Bellydance. I have found the bellydance community to be more congenial than the flamenco, although I love the latter dance form. Right now I am transitioning and maybe I'll stay with sort of a fusion form (although I am not that fond of fusion!)

Anyway I am looking forward to getting to know you all and exchange ideas. BTW I will post a real picture later on once I figure out how to do that!

FYI, there is a Spanish-Arab Fusion that was taught this past weekend by Maja (Girl from the Nile out of Florida) . . . I am sure that you can come up with something to fuse the 2 styles since you have studied Flamenco . . . which I love and wish my feet would allow me to do it . . . 6 months of flamenco and that was it for me!

Yeah, Flamenco is not for the fainthearted but I love it. Unfortunately in our area there is very little(if any) of it. I know of one group in Dallas. But I would like to look into some of the fusion style and see what it is like (although I tend to be a bit of a purist).

So if you hear about another Fusion workshop I would love to hear about it. (One reason to be on Buzz! Thanks
