Another Newbie

Hello :)

Just thought I'd say "hello", "howdy" and all those other things.

I go by "shayla" for the most part, but the girls in my troupe keep saying I need to pick my stage name. So, I'm on the hunt for one *heh*

I've been doing bellydance for about a year now with the same teacher (Raven) here in the Wichita area and I'm in the troupe "Sahara Wind".

I've also got a small eBay shop set up under the ID lyonetteslair (and, I do have some skirts for sale at the moment )

I just celebrated the 3rd anniversary of my 27th birthday, have a 9 year old son, a plethora of pets and a boyfriend.

Yep, I do like keeping busy! :)

I can't wait to get to getting to know some of ya'll and asking some questions myself!!

Welcome to the best corner of the 'net. I think Shayla is a pretty name - and sounds exotic enough to use on stage. Some of the best dancers in the business don't use a stage name - with a name like yours you don't have to either and yet you'll still sound exotic!

Hello Shayla,
I am new myself....to bellydance (only 9 months in) and to BHUZ! Nice to know I am not alone! This place certainly feels like home in such short order!
I am Caroline or lotusgoddess_carolin, only cause I screwed up in signing up to the site! Oh well, I live and I learn! Just means I am not dead yet!

BTW...I am making my debut performance this Saturday and wondered if anyone had any words of wisdom to share? I would greatly appreciate any advise!
