I am sort of new here on Bhuz. Well, I have dropped by to visit Bhuz for a number of years, but have finally joined, am working on a profile, etc. I am a regular reader on Tribe.net where I am known as Helen, aka The Helenator.
Let's see...I have been dancing for about 7 years...was in a troupe (Tribal)but decided to step down about a year ago. I am studying Egyptian dance these days and really love it!!!!
The Helenator is a nickname given to me by one of my former teachers. I had some kick-butt stage presence and a huge smile that was very popular with our audiences. My former troupe danced with live drummers, and when I would come out to do a little solo our lead drummer would sometimes call out - "Here comes The Helenator!" The "name" seemed to fit and soon everyone was using it.
