Hi dancingstar! Welcome to bhuz! I look forward to seeing you jump into our discussions!

You can tell us whatever you like about yourself! Ideas could be how long you've been dancing, what style of belly dance you like to do, which part of the country you're in, why you like belly dancing, or anything else you wish to share.

You can introduce yourself (like you have done!), or just jump right in and start contributing to any threads that take your fancy.

to Bhuz! Pull up a chair, get comfy, get used to spending most of your time (when you should be doing other things! ) hanging out with us talking about... stuff.

i'm in the dc area, and have been studying for 3 1/2 years. in my troupe i've learned mostly egyptian and turkish styles of dance, and have been having a great time. i love the dance not only for its beauty, but also for the feeling of sisterhood i have with the women i dance with. plus i love the joy of having a great time with a good audience. plus i love things that are sparkly and glittery :)

Thanks! I just moved (back) to DC, so have been trying out instructors. I studied with Yucy over the summer and really liked her. Probably will stick with her. I also took a workshop with... Latifa :) And really enjoyed her as well.
