Bhuz is just what I'm looking for!
Hello friends!
I'm Elianae and I am just getting to the pro level. I've done ballet and modern dance for 15 years, bellydance now a little over 3. I love it! Bellydance is so great, and easier on the body than my earlier dance styles. I hope to be doing it for many years to come. Also, there's so much room for creative expression! I just wanted to give a shout out to you ladies and gents, and tell you how happy I am to find a community like this.

P.S. I am having trouble finding pictures small enough and of the right file type to put up in my profile. How did you guys do it? I've made some pictures super-tiny, but then they're not in JPeg format! Any good free resources so I can put up some pictures?

Do you have photo editing software? What kind?
I use Adobe Photoshop for my image editing, but I think it's a bit expensive. Perhaps someone else knows a more affordable version out there?
BTW, where are you located? Who are your instructors? Do you have any video clips on youtube? Enquiring minds (and video junkies) wanna know!

Hi Elaine,
Welcome! There are a bunch of places online, for free that will resize images and send them to your e-mail account if you don't have editing software. Just use your favorite search engine and find one! I do that sometimes cause its just easier!

Hi everybody and thanks for the warm welcome.
I'm from Columbus, Ohio, and study at Habeeba's Dance of the Arts studio. Currently, we are the largest bellydance studio in the Midwestern United States.
Habeeba's focuses mainly on classical Cabaret style, but I am also into "Tribaret" fusion and fusion with Indian classical, Bhangra, and Flamenco styles.
As far as my computer goes, I have Adobe Photoshop, and also Irfanview. I use Irfanview the most because it's so easy and accessible, but it saves the new images in BMP format, which is incompatible with BHUZ. Maybe I'll try Adobe.
I have a MySpace, if you want to see pictures, and am working on getting some video up. I just did a performance this Saturday, so maybe I'll have footage of that up soon. My address is:

Yes, photobucket is a good free site, but if you already have a photohost and just want something to resize pics, IrfanView is a good free download.
