How to make up a contract?

I've been asked to do a workshop on a cultural event in november. We agreed on the price, transportation costs, time etc...But now they asked me to send them a contract, and I have never used one before.
So my question is (maybe more for the European/Belgian bellydancers) : how do I make up such a contract? What should be in it?

Michelle Joyce posts her contracts on her Web site. So does Yasmin of Magic Hips. You should look at their contracts and e-mail them to see if you can use them.

Contracts are fantastic. After 2-3 years of not asking for one, I finally bit the bullet and put one up on my website:

Mine is a hybrid of a few contracts I've seen before, plus a couple tidbits of my own. Yes, sometimes, it makes me feel like a hard-a**, but it's better to be proactive than to put up with last-minute cancellations and other B.S. if there's a way to help protect yourself against it!
