I try and buy stuff with a forward supply device...cuffs, headband etc. I am a big person - almost 6 foot and 170lb (on a good day) so lots of times the cups are set too close even if the band is long enough. Makes the girls look like they share a twin bed! After removing the lining, I cut the cups apart (after saying a long prayer and burning sage).

Now I need to build a bigger "bridge". I get strong fabric..., denum, (sp?) etc. and make the bridge that I need inorder to move the cups into a wider position. Then I bead the bridge and resew it back into the cups using upholstery thread. Using a fabric like gold or silver lame... or sometimes a contrasting color silk (to which I have heat fused a backing for body) I begin below the arm pit and pin the fabric to the bra adding more coverage to the top of the cup itself and finish it by pinning the fabric at the joint of the cup and the bridge. I do this while actually wearing the bra and trying not to bleed on it! Replace lining..and walaa. Same sort of a thing happens for the belt. Be brave and do it on one you dont really care for first...or offer to work on a friends....
