Depending on the bra, I go up a cup size or up on the ribcage measurement as in, go from a 34 to a 36. With all of the stitching, it really draws in the size and shrinks it. Trust me, the first bra I hand-stitched a zillion beads and sequins on turned out to small, it was a total drag!!

I just could second that.
I tried several times with my original bra-size and it turned out from fitting well (with a very covering model) to boobalicious to totally spilling over.
Besides going up a cup size or underbust size you could also add some fabric to the top to get the cup more covering. Did this in this case: http://www.olafheeg.de/SHARI/galerie...es/gruen_1.jpg and the bra is fitting well while those two costumes which are built in the same bra model are a bit too small on me:

Besides, you could always add padding when you feel it's too large in the end but getting it larger afterwards?

Skirts. 3 panel circle skirts to be exact.
I am making one out of two sari's - the back two panels dark purple and the front panel light purple with a light purle choli to match. Both are crepe georgette.
I found this incredible white fabrick which is embroidered with marvelous pink flowers. I have a pink and silver bedlah with a pink satin 3 panel skirt which I LOVE but it always feels unfinished. I think this will do it!
Teal green chiffon. Here is the story: I have this amazing teal green vintage bedlah which I bought from Aziza Sa'ide. I usually wear a lavendar circle skirt with is. Which is nice. A couple of months ago I came across a vintage 3 panel skirt with a lot of teal in it and think: Here is the solution! I get hte skirt and it is completely the wrong size. About a billion sizes too small and too short! *sighs* Sparklely blindness strikes again!
So, in a moment of clarity, I realize I can use the too small skirt as a topper and make a teal green one as a layering piece.
We'll see how that works.
The other thing I am doing is a lot of hemming and adjusting of costumes and accessories. Taking a complete inventory and then getting really, rteally honest about what works, what doesn't what I can fix/adjust/change and what needs to find a new home!
Soemthing to keep me busy and out of trouble for the summer!

For an upcoming duet in a somewhat casual artsy/ambiant setting I finished making two more Tempest corset belts using Japanese traditional fabrics (and 5 yen coins) I may make matching corset-laced upper arm bands:

progress on my black costume, i find i'm enjoying working on this costume more than I have on past costumes...but it may just be the "honeymoon" phase of costume making..that point in a costume when you see enough done to feel like you've acomplished someting and the end seems near.

Tonight I went on a bit of a craft frenzy. I had some left over fabric from the two Japanese fabric duet belts I made so i decided to make a halter top. Now, I don't have a halter top pattern nor do I have much cause to wear one...but I drafted one and I guess I'll find a venue to match the the haltertop and belt.
I'll be decorating it a bit more, but like the belt it will be pretty simple.
It makes me feel like I should be seducing Flash Gordon...and my front/craft/tv.tiny room looks like a dancer exploded it in...

There is http://www.tanzmaus.de/ , go to "Zubehör" and then "Straß & Kristallsteine" - they sell Swarovskis per piece.
For larger amounts: http://www.strass.com and then go to "sew-on Stones" , they sell per units which can be different amounts depending on which type. Many different colors, shapes and sizes, yummy!

It's not totally out of my head. A couple friends of mine have been bugging me to figure out halters so I could perhaps be commissioned by them to make a special order one...so it's been floating around in my head.
When i decided to give it a go I dug up a stretchy halter-top bathing suit I'd bought on vacation. I used that to understand the basic shape of the top, THEN drafted a pattern, made a test halter-top in muslin, adjusted the pattern, and went for the final fabric. There was just a smidge too little fabric, so I used some other scraps I had (which I'd also used on the belt) for contrast and to add a few inches to what I had.

I think I'd like to see a scattering of small silver sequins over the red background with perhaps an accent-colored or red bead keeping each one in place (or red sequins with silver beads) I like the bead and sequin work, but I think there needs to be a transition ground between the pure red background and pure silver beadwork areas so they work together more.

I wonder about warming it up with gold beads, sequins, and fringe? But then I'm partial to gold. Your beadwork is very well done.

thanks for the ideas, keep 'em coming!
Ozma, you're right about it needing transition. Never crossed my mind before, thanks.
